Famous People and the Schools they Attended

Previously I began discussing some of the very prestigious and tough academic prep schools in the world. Some of these schools have proudly turned out some very popular and important people in our society. In this article I will give you some insight into some of these people and the prep schools that they attended. Check below to see if you recognize any of the names.

Jennifer Anniston, the popular actress from "Friends" attended an exclusive New York City school, Rudolph Steiner School. The school is based on the Waldorf method.

One popular singing group, the Beastie Boys, came from prep schools. Mike D. attended St. Ann's in Brooklyn Heights. John Berry attended Walden.

The Bush Family also comes from a history of prep schools. Barbara and Jenna, the twin girls, attended Dallas' Hockaday. President Bush graduated from Phillips Academy in Andover, MA.

Dierks Bentley, the country singer also came from a prep school. He graduated from the legendary Lawrenceville New Jersey Prep School in 1993. Huey Lewis also attended this school.

Another country singer, Mary Chapin Carpenter, attended Taft in Connecticut and then attended Brown. It is also said that she attended Princeton Day School.

Actor and comedian Chevy Chase was reported to have attended Dalton School in New York. It is said that he was such as prankster and class clown that he was thrown out of the school. He also attended Riverdale Day School.

Cher went to Montclair Prep in California before she dropped out of the school to pursue a singing career.

Chelsea Clinton is another president daughter in a prep school. She attended Sidwell Friends School in Washington DC. This school is affiliated with the Quaker Church.

Actor and comedian Bill Cosby attended Peddie School in Hightstown New Jersey. His children attended George School in Newton, PA.
