We Went Shopping for Preschool!

Time passes so quickly. It is amazing how fast children grow and learn. My family is no exception.

Today was a special day for us. Today, I took my daughter to purchase her first lunch box for school (preschool that is). We also picked out a mat, blanket, and pillow for her preschool naptime.

Entering my daughter in preschool is my first educational experience as a parent. Until now, I have always been on the teacher end of things. I am very excited and nervous to begin the adventure with her. She will only be attending preschool this year for two days a week. However, for us, it is a very big milestone in her life.

My family has always valued education and we want to pass the values on to our children. Schooling is one part of our lives that we feel is very important.

I know that I will be in the mist of the 'over doing it' parents. My camera will be full of pictures and my daughter will not do without any school essentials.

Today, her pick was a princess lunchbox, princess blanket, and matching princess pillow. I hope that we are as prepared as the items that have been purchased.

I am full of questions to ask preschool teachers. I am anxious to work on new learned skills and watch her excitement as she tells stories of the day's events.

I think that preschool will be a good experience for us. I also think that choosing a schedule of only two days a week was the right choice to make. This way my daughter can experience a form of structured learning and also get to stay at the babysitter's house and play with her little brother.

Wish us the best on our new educational adventure and watch for more stories and encounters to come!
